2008 The Ford Fusion 1/24 Marcos Ambrose 2007 nascar is
now in stock. 17th June
2008 Notification arrived this morning that the Ambrose
2007 nascar is arriving in our warehouse next Wednesday or Thursday. We
will start shipping then but be patient as we have hoards of orders to
fill. 29th May

1/24 Nascars that are in stock. Our discounted price for these models is
$56.00 plus postage, the normal price for these cars is $79.95 plus

stock and we are doing the ring around to let everyone know they are available

2008 Marcos Ambrose - The first
Australian driver to race NASCAR fulltime. We are proud to announce that we have negotiated
and obtained the exclusive rights to the Marcos Ambrose "Kingsford" Ford Fusion
2007 1/24 scale Nascar. We are very excited about this as an Ambrose car
has not been produced since he last raced Australian Touring cars
in 2005. Our limited production of only 1,000 units will be highly sought
after by the Australian Ambrose followers. To compliment the Ambrose car
we have added a new section to the Icon Models website called "Nascars
1/24". We have added to the Nascar page quite a few 2007 U.S.
cars which are all available for shipping now. We are
currently taking orders for the Ambrose car which we estimate will arrive
in Australia approximately May/June 2008. 12th February
2008 All the "Track Red" XY Falcon Model Kits have come
into stock. We still have some on hand waiting for the customers who
ordered them to arrange delivery. With the imminent arrival of the
"Ultra White" XY Falcon Model Kits we have to insist that the "Track Red"
orders are finalised by the end of February. Any that remain after the end
of February will be offered to the customers on the waiting list who have
been patiently waiting to learn if they are lucky enough to procure
one due to cancelled orders and/or lack of payment. We need
to be a bit tough on this due to the premium cost of warehousing and our
available space. It would also be an administrative nightmare to have both
colours in the warehouse at the same time as the boxes are exactly the same with
the only variant being one different number in the model number. 8th January
2008 We have now received 5 containers and have models
coming out of our ears. We will be contacting everyone as we make our way
down the order list. Any customers who are in Sydney are able to come in
and pick them up whenever it is convenient for them. 12th December
2007 ** THE 1st CONTAINER IS ON ITS WAY! ** So down to the bit that you are all waiting
for. Now that the 1st container is on the water the other 6 containers
will follow fairly quickly. We will be contacting each and every customer
when the container holding their model is bound for Australia. This
will enable us to double check delivery details, organise payment and give you a
week or so notice before it actually arrives. The orders will be processed
according to the date we received them so a little more patience is required if
you placed your order late in 2007. We do anticipate however that all the
models will have arrived by the end of January 2008. 4th December 2007 Icon Models mission is to provide
collectors with products that are unique, collectible and interesting.
With this in mind we are excited to announce a 'World First' of right hand drive
First Gear trucks. These 1/34 scale garbage trucks are of high
detail, impeccable quality and will be highly sought after by the Australian
collector. Our first right hand trucks will carry the iconic Australian
"Cleanaway" logo. Cleanaway has been an Australian
company since the early 1970s and can be seen daily on many streets around our
country, perhaps even in your street. To view the preliminary graphics go
to "First Gear Trucks" under the heading "Product Categories". November 2007 We are truly humbled by the acceptance
and success of our "Track Red" XY GTHO 1/8 Model Kit. Icon Models is proud to present our
2nd car, the "Ultra White" XY GTHO 1/8 Model Kit. The "Ultra
White" XY has a limited production of 1,000 units and was brought about by the
sheer fact that we had over 200 customers on a waiting list for the "Track
Red" hoping that 200 original orders would be cancelled. Knowing that
this was unlikely we decided to do a very limited run in another
colour. 
The Marcos Ambrose 2008 Kingsford Hickory left China
bound for Australia last Tuesday 26th August 2008. We are no
longer able to take orders for this model. If you have not already
placed your order for the Kingsford STP we strongly urge to you do so as numbers
are starting to run low.
Marcos Ambrose won his first Nascar Nationwide race
yesterday at Watkins Glen in the Kingsford STP #59 .... our congratulations to a
great Australian driver.
For all the New Zealand customers who have been patiently waiting
for their White XYs we are pleased to inform you that the last shipment of XYs
for 2008 was picked up by the freight forwarder this morning ... thank you for
your understanding.
This morning we received, by airfreight, one of
the "Track Red" XY Falcon GTHO Model Kits from the production run. We
have spent a little over three years on this project and even we were absolutely
blown away opening the box to see the goodies inside. The Icon
Models 1/8 scale model is better than we had ever imagined.
The detail, the finish, the hard work and professionalism that were
contributed by First Gear and the factory in China is to be highly
regarded and we would like to publicly thank
them.
